hi guys, can anyone help babedacus out, he keeps getting kicked for authentication failure.....screenshot attached.

he says he has done a manual update, but that hasnt fixed it...any ideas please?

would recommend that he try the manual update again and make sure that it completes successfully (pbweb.exe)

The error message is "Server Disconnected - has been kicked via PunkBuster (for 0 minutes) ... General PB Client Authentication Failure - Reinstall PB is problem persists".
I've tried the following:
a)Downloading the standalone updater from http://evenbalance.com/ (added et,updated,etc)
b)Downloading the .htm updates and installing manually from http://evenbalance.com/
c)Reinstalling everything (even deleting registry keys,and et folder in programme files)
d)Disabling the firewall
e)Clicking hard at the mouse :p
f)Deleting configs/pk3s/etkey (every possible combination you can imagine :D )

Open you pb folder... doubleclick pbweb and let it do it's thing. That should fix it hopefully.

Do a reinstall and select yes when it asks you about PB..

pbweb.exe downloads the necessary files,but it generates the following errors:

I tried running pbweb with most services/proccesses shut and i got the same error messages.Being illogical (as always) I ran the game just once more,connected to the server and it worked.So for the time being I won't try correcting anything.If it works as it was supposed to,don't touch it.:D

Also, on a side note, as it looks that many are unaware of the fact that pbweb.exe is outdated now. PB has a new application that installs onto your OS and you manually pick which games and install location even(if you have mutliple installs of et)! Check it out and use it from now on!
